Basic Information Of Inconel 718 Product
The following is the product specifications of Alloy 718 that Gnee can provide. If you need other information, please contact us for more information.
Description
Inconel 718 is a high-performance nickel-chromium alloy known for its exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and oxidation stability. It can be used in temperatures ranging from -423°F to 1300°F (-253°C to 705°C) and is also a high-temperature alloy. Made from niobium, molybdenum, and aluminum, it has excellent weldability and, unlike many other nickel alloys, is not susceptible to cracking during welding.
With tensile strengths up to 120 ksi (827 MPa), it is the material of choice for aerospace turbine engines, gas turbines, and rocket engines. For example, compared to Inconel 625, Inconel 718 has higher strength due to its precipitation hardening mechanism while maintaining excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking even in chloride-rich environments.
Nickel Alloy Inconel 718 is typically supplied in the solution annealed condition (AMS 5662 AMS 5596) but can also be supplied in the age hardened or precipitation heat treated condition (AMS 5663 AMS 5597) prior to forming.
