FAQ

The high-temperature resistance of different types varies significantly, so it’s important to differentiate by model:

Monel 400: Short-term resistance up to 650°C. Long-term (>1000 hours) resistance is recommended to be ≤400°C. Above 400°C, strength slowly decreases, but there’s still no noticeable embrittlement.
Monel K500: High-temperature resistance slightly lower than 400°C. Long-term resistance is recommended to be ≤370°C.
Monel 600: The main high-temperature type, with a long-term resistance of 1093°C, maintains a tensile strength of ≥200 MPa at 1000°C, and offers excellent oxidation resistance.

If you need broad-spectrum corrosion resistance (seawater, hydrochloric acid, and other reducing acids) at normal temperatures and pressures, and are looking for cost-effectiveness, choose Monel 400.
If you need higher strength (such as for high-pressure valves or deep-sea components) and corrosion resistance similar to Monel 400, choose Monel K500.

It depends on the working conditions. The service life in seawater environment is about 10-20 years, and in chemical highly corrosive environment is about 5-15 years. It can exceed the design life with routine maintenance.

Delivery times vary depending on the order size and customization requirements. Standard orders typically take 30-50 business days, 7 days for stock goods, while custom or bulk orders may take longer.
