Description
Inconel 718 is an austenitic nickel-base superalloy primarily composed of nickel (Ni) and chromium (Cr). It is a precipitation-strengthened high-temperature alloy. Renowned for its durability and superior surface finish, Inconel 718 pipe withstands both severe low-temperature corrosion and adverse high-temperature conditions. This alloy is often used in components that must withstand stress at high temperatures. Consequently, Inconel 718 pipe is commonly used in cryogenic storage tanks, downhole shafts, wellhead components, jet rockets, nuclear fuel, and pump components.
As a specialized supplier of high-temperature alloys, we produce high-performance Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) seamless and welded pipe. Our ASTM B163 Inconel 718 pipe can withstand extremely high pressures, offers excellent weldability, and comes with a product warranty.

Features And Applications
Features and advantages of Alloy 718 Pipes
The characteristics and advantages of Inconel 718 pipe stem from its unique chemical composition and heat treatment process.
- Excellent high-temperature strength and creep resistance: It maintains extremely high mechanical strength at high temperatures. It exhibits excellent creep resistance, meaning it is less susceptible to slow plastic deformation under prolonged high temperatures and stress.
- Excellent corrosion resistance: It maintains good oxidation resistance up to 1300°F. It offers excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and salts, and its resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-containing environments is far superior to that of ordinary stainless steel.
- Great fatigue resistance and weldability: It exhibits excellent fatigue resistance under alternating loads and high temperatures, and is not susceptible to cracking due to cyclic stress. It also exhibits excellent weldability and a low tendency to post-weld cracking, typically resisting cracking even after direct aging treatment.
- Excellent machinability: This is a significant advantage of Inconel 718 over other high-performance nickel-based alloys, such as Inconel 625. It is relatively soft in its solution state, making it easy to form and machine using both cold and hot working methods. It can then be aging treated to achieve ultra-high strength.
- Great low-temperature performance: Its toughness does not significantly decrease at low temperatures, making it suitable for use in ultra-low-temperature environments, such as liquid nitrogen and liquid hydrogen.
