Description
Incoloy 825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with significant additions of molybdenum and copper, designed for exceptional resistance to both reducing and oxidizing environments. It excels in handling sulfuric and phosphoric acids, making it a go-to material for chemical processing equipment like acid tanks and heat exchangers.
Compared to stainless steels, Incoloy 825 offers superior resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking and pitting, ensuring reliability in marine applications and offshore oil rigs. Its high-temperature strength, up to 540°C (1000°F), combined with excellent weldability, makes it ideal for demanding conditions such as power plant condensers and nuclear fuel reprocessing systems.
With a minimum tensile strength of 585 MPa and corrosion resistance verified by ASTM B424 standards, Incoloy 825 delivers long-lasting performance in the harshest industrial environments.
