Basic Information Of Inconel 625 Pipe Product

The following is the product specifications of Alloy 625 that Gnee can provide. If you need other information, please contact us for more information.

Description

Inconel 625 tube is a high-performance nickel-chromium alloy composed primarily of 58% nickel, 20-23% chromium, and 8-10% molybdenum that maintains its mechanical properties over a wide temperature range from cryogenic to 980°C (1800°F). The alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for use in industries such as aerospace, chemical processing, and offshore engineering. The alloy is commonly used in applications such as gas turbines, heat exchangers, and nuclear reactors.

Inconel 625 is known for its excellent resistance to high-temperature oxidation, corrosion, and fatigue in extreme environments. Compared to other nickel alloys such as Inconel 718, Inconel 625 has superior weldability and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making it the material of choice for demanding applications.

FAQ

Below are some frequently asked questions about Inconel 625 tube. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.

Generally, no forced heat treatment is required, but in stress corrosion sensitive environments (such as those containing Cl⁻), annealing (870℃×1h) is recommended to reduce hardness;

Hot processing temperature: controlled at 950-1200℃ to avoid σ phase precipitation (causing brittleness);
Cold working hardening: intermediate annealing (about 1100℃) is required to restore plasticity, and the strength can be increased by 30% after processing

Inconel 625 is non-ferromagnetic (non-magnetic) in the solution annealed state, but cold processing (such as bending, rolling) may induce weak magnetism
