Description
Nickel 201 is a low-carbon variant of Nickel 200, designed for applications requiring greater resistance to embrittlement under high temperatures. With a maximum carbon content of 0.02%, Nickel 201 effectively minimizes the formation of carbides, making it highly suitable for environments where temperatures exceed 600°F (315°C).
Its key attributes include excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, robust corrosion resistance—particularly in caustic and reducing environments—and strong mechanical properties even at cryogenic temperatures.
Nickel 201 maintains its performance in corrosive media, including acids, alkalis, and neutral salt solutions, and it is also non-magnetic, making it valuable in specialized electronic and magnetic applications.
